Following our success of working with adults with autism in partnership with Kingwood, we were delighted to partner with Style Acre to bring similar benefits to adults with learning disabilities.

Style Acre provides day opportunities, supported living, work development and community involvement for adults with learning disabilities across Oxfordshire.

In our work with Style Acre we provided a dedicated service for the people supported by Style Acre. Our handler worked with the Style Acre support team to design personalised and focused programmes, thus enabling people to work towards a range of personal goals. These included managing anger/frustration; improved communication and social interaction; relaxation techniques; working as part of a group; and developing confidence to go out and engage with others in the community.

The project included working with individuals and also small groups of clients at the Style Acre centres in Wallingford, Didcot and Banbury.
