The appeal opened today (30th November) with the inspiring and heart-warming story of Sox, a huge black Labrador who supports Toby, who has autism, and opened up a new world for the whole family.  Before Sox came into his life Toby says he cried every day.

Peter Gorbing, chief executive of Dogs for Good said: “Being selected as one of The Times Christmas Charities will make an incredible difference to our work.  Specially trained dogs have a hugely life-transforming effect on the people we work with but sadly we regularly have to close our waiting lists as we can’t keep up with demand.  The support of The Times appeal will have a great impact helping us train more dogs and help even more people.
