Thanks to funding from the Pets Foundation, we are delighted to have welcomed our dog Ludo to the Community Dog team in Scotland!
Ludo will be working in the Inverclyde region, a beautiful part of Scotland, but it’s also a community that faces some of the toughest health challenges in the country. Life expectancy in Inverclyde is lower than the national average, and people living in some of the most underserved communities often experience much poorer health than those in surrounding areas. That’s why we’re so excited for Ludo to begin his work in the area, supporting individuals to build confidence, connection and bringing joy to everyday life.

Ludo has settled brilliantly into his new home and is already showing his playful, affectionate nature with his volunteer holder and Community Dog handler. He’s enjoying gentle familiarisation in his new surroundings and getting stuck into his new task training, which he takes to with enthusiasm. His confidence and character are shining through, from his excellent lead walking to his joyful “zoomies” after dinner, and we’re excited for the difference he will make in the community.
We are so grateful to the Pets Foundation for making this possible, and to everyone involved in getting Ludo to this stage of his journey!
