atrick Makosch - Head of Volunteering and Supporter Engagement at Dogs for Good

Dogs for Good is delighted to announce a new role to help strengthen the connections between our volunteers, supporters, and local communities. Patrick Makosch has been appointed as our new Head of Volunteering and Supporter Engagement.

Many of you will already know Patrick from his work this year leading on community fundraising and events. This new role brings together responsibility for all our voluntary activity, event management and supporter engagement, with the aim of developing ways for anyone to support Dogs for Good.

Patrick and the team are now working on:

  • Developing toolkits and guidance for volunteers
  • Creating new opportunities for community fundraising and public participation
  • Building stronger links between volunteers, our regional hubs, and our corporate partners across the UK
  • Making sure our tone of voice and supporter journeys reflect our values and purpose
  • Expanding volunteer recruitment, recognition, and digital giving opportunities

Patrick said: “It’s such an exciting time to be stepping into this role. The volunteering spirit drives everything we do and I’m looking forward to learning about the best ways to help that thrive. The opportunity to share your incredible work as an example of what we can achieve is truly special.”

If you have ideas or would like to get involved, you can contact Patrick at [email protected].

Together, we can grow our community and reach even more people with the life-changing power of dogs.
