Dogs for Good's charity partnership with Škoda is at the heart of everything we do. Since 2022 we have partnered with our friends at Škoda, working together to bring people and dogs together to make life possible.
At Škoda, we create smart, spacious and stylish vehicles designed around the realities of everyday life. For many families, dogs are an integral part of that life, and working alongside Dogs for Good has allowed us to demonstrate that commitment in a meaningful and authentic way.
Our partnership comes to life in many ways. From providing practical, dog-friendly vehicles for us that enable our people and dogs to travel safely and comfortably, sponsoring our last two Gala Dinner events, to supporting fundraising events and collaborating with us at major events such as Crufts. For Škoda, the partnership provides an authentic platform to showcase its dog-friendly vehicle features, engage dog-loving audiences, generate meaningful content and demonstrate its commitment to community impact.
The partnership is mutually beneficial to both parties, helping us both reach new audiences; raising awareness of the powerful impact the human-dog bond can have.
"Our partnership with Dogs for Good has become incredibly important to us at Škoda. Over the past few years, we've had the privilege of seeing first-hand the remarkable impact that their work has on people's lives. What makes this partnership so special is how naturally our organisations align. At Škoda, we create smart, spacious and stylish vehicles designed around the realities of everyday life. For many families, dogs are an integral part of that life, and working alongside Dogs for Good has allowed us to demonstrate that commitment in a meaningful and authentic way.
The partnership has delivered real benefits for Škoda, strengthening our connection with dog-loving audiences and providing a powerful platform to showcase our dog-friendly vehicle features in a genuine and credible way. More importantly, it has enabled us to support an organisation that is creating lasting change every day. We are immensely proud of what we have achieved together so far and excited about what the future holds for our partnership." - Rhidian Taylor, Brand Marketing Manager at Škoda.
Škoda have sponsored two puppies during the time of our partnership; Kami and Kodi. Kami named after the Kamiq, and Kodi (one of Kami’s puppies), named after the Kodiaq.
Along with sponsoring two puppies, Škoda also provides Dogs for Good with a suite of cars. These cars are used by all staff, but in particular by our Puppy Team and Dog Trainers who will use them multiple times a day. These teams use the cars to pick up/drop off our puppies and dogs in training at our volunteers’ houses, as well as to take our dogs out and about as part of their training.
Feedback from the team about the cars couldn’t have been more positive, commenting on the fact that the cars:
- Have plenty of room for dogs, while still being easy to park
- Have clean, tough interiors that make it easy to wipe away muddy paw prints
- Are very reliable, which is extra important when sticking to a schedule and visiting clients
The Škodas are also crucial for getting our dogs used to car travel, which is an important part of their training, along with being used by our Community Dog team to take our dogs into community settings.
Watch the videos below to see how much we get out of using our Škodas.
After a day at our training centre, puppy Kami and her siblings were all driven safely home to their volunteer puppy socialisers thanks to our Škodas.
Vernon loves to learn new things and had a great day with his trainer Mel, before being transported in our Škoda Kamiq back to the home of his volunteer boarder.
Our lovely Community Dogs are out and about in our Škodas, helping people in Banbury and other local communities live healthier, happier lives.
In addition to the regular provision of their cars and sponsorship of puppies, for the last two years Škoda have been a main sponsor at Crufts, and have shared their large stand space with Dogs for Good. This has enabled Dogs for Good to raise awareness of our work amongst a dog-loving audience, whilst allowing Škoda to demonstrate the design features on their cars, which have been specifically designed for the comfort and security of dogs.
Our joint stand attracted approximately 31,000 visitors in 2026 and helped increase our brand awareness from 7% to 16%. Dogs for Good's presence on the stand alongside Škoda also helped Škoda increase purchase consideration from 46% before the show to 79% after having visited the joint stand.
As part of their presence at Crufts, Škoda also developed a new film, promoting their sponsored puppy, Kodi and showing a day in the life of his training. This was shown both on the stand and on the main thoroughfare to the arena at Crufts 2026.
For the first time in 2026, Škoda offered Dogs for Good a takeover of their online newsletter, DRIVEN, featuring Kodi as 'guest editor' and letting him take centre stage.
The content included playful and informative articles written under Kodi's name, further cementing our relationship and enabling Dogs for Good to reach a wider audience of Škoda newsletter recipients. Škoda also included links to the Dogs for Good website so that their recipients could get specific dog-related news and tips whilst driving traffic from the newsletter to our website.
Results showed an impressive open rate of 48% and a click through rate of 5.43% - higher than the previous two newsletters and higher than the industry average. This suggests that the content was both engaging and relevant to their recipients. Škoda have already suggested that they'd like to run a similar issue again, featuring Kodi.
For the past two years Škoda have also supported one of the people we help, Mary Lamb, in her fundraising events: the Three Peaks and the Trans Pennine trail.
They provided a car for the duration of Team Sheldon's Three Peaks Challenge, as well as PR and social media support which helped generate 1.55m views across 136 pieces of coverage (17 of which were national titles). This coverage also helped Mary secure a nomination for a Pride of Britain Award. The activity resulted in a film which showcased Mary's climb of the Three Peaks, and in doing so, promoted Škoda’s support for Mary and Dogs for Good. The content delivered on the Brand Strategy by showing how nothing stops Everyday Explorers from being curious and confident enough to explore more, even when they have a disability.
Once again, Škoda generously provided a car for Mary's trek along the Trans Pennine Trail, as well as a photographer who took photos and video content, documenting the efforts of Mary and her assistance dog Sheldon, and all their supporters throughout the challenge. This investment of resource amounted to approximately £2,000 worth of in-kind donation, highlighting the value and commitment that Škoda place on our relationship.
In 2025 and 2024 Škoda were the key sponsor for our Gala dinner event. These events are an opportunity to gather the people we support, volunteers and corporate partners together in celebration of what we do as a charity and how all the work we do helps create such impactful human-dog bonds. Although we won't be having a Gala in 2026 due to limited funding, we're always looking for opportunities to celebrate the people and dogs who make Dogs for Good what it is.
