Whether it’s cold and wet outside or your dog just needs a bit of playtime, here’s a great game to play with your dog.

Playing games with your dog is a great way to improve your bond and give your dog some mental stimulation, in fact it’s just as important for your dog’s well being as physical exercise.

Here’s a simple game that both you and your dog can enjoy.

Where’s the treat?

You will need, three small flowerpots and some treats or kibble from your dog’s daily ration.

Get your dog to sit or lie down.  Place the treat under one of the flower pots and let your dog get.  Try a few times until your dog has got the idea.

Once he knows what to do, place the treat under one of the flowerpots and then move the flowerpots around, see if he can still find it!  You could time how quickly it takes to find the treat.

Want to see it in action?  Watch Harry and border terrier Barnaby having lots of fun.
