Volunteer Spotlight Sarah

Explain your role at Dogs for Good:

My role at Dogs for Good is coordinating the events team. Working with a small group of volunteers to cover specific events then relay the information to the organiser of that event. I am also a fundraiser with the Warwickshire and Coventry supporters group and a volunteer speaker, a role that I relish.

Why do you volunteer at Dogs for Good?

I am passionate about dogs and the ethos the charity holds is something I believe in strongly. I have seen the charity grow from humble beginnings to what it is today and I am proud to be associated with it.

What’s the best thing about your role at Dogs for Good?

Variety, meeting other like-minded people and speaking to people who have yet to hear about Dogs for Good.

What would you say to someone considering volunteering at Dogs for Good?

Give it a go. Dogs for Good is a special charity with inclusion at its heart. You will be glad you got involved.

Our volunteers help to make life possible

After an unexpected diagnosis of MS, Neil soon had to rely on a mobility scooter. He found himself embarrassed and demoralised, staying in the office at lunchtime and feeling ignored and avoided when he did encounter people in the street. In 2021 he was paired with Sage, his “four-legged life-changer”.
