Our path to 2028 and beyond

Dogs for Good help people build life-changing connections with dogs that make everyday life possible. We know the powerful, positive impact these connections have particularly for those with disabilities, dementia, autism and mental health challenges.

By 2028 our work will be impacting 6,000 people per year. To achieve this ambition and to ensure the very best care for our dogs, clients, volunteers and staff, we must invest now in the future of our Banbury site.

Why redevelopment is essential

Our current facilities have served us well, but they were not designed for the scale, complexity and integrated way we now work. A major redevelopment of our Banbury site will enable us to:

• Provide outstanding health and welfare environments for puppies and dogs in training, giving them the best possible start

• Create modern, flexible and accessible spaces for volunteers and staff, supporting collaboration and wellbeing

• Work more efficiently and cohesively across teams, enabling us to reach more people and maximise the impact of every donation

This investment will ensure Dogs for Good can continue to grow sustainably, without compromising on quality, care or outcomes.

The redevelopment programme

The project will be delivered in three carefully planned phases, allowing services to continue throughout the works.

£546,635 | April - August 2026 (subject to planning permission, due March 2026)

A bespoke, fully accessible puppy centre, designed specifically for young dogs. This will include new health and welfare facilities and safe, stimulating spaces that support early development. The centre will also include a multifunctional facility for clients, volunteers and staff, enabling service delivery and assessments to take place under one roof.

£401,921 | August - November 2026

Refurbishment of an existing building, including reconfiguration to maximise space, essential roof repairs, and improved facilities to support dog health, welfare and veterinary care.

£810,169 | November 2026 - February 2027

Creation of integrated workspaces, a welcoming reception area for visitors and clients, and upgraded facilities that reflect the professionalism and warmth of Dogs for Good.

Total project cost: £1,758,726

Cost as at January 2026.
