Volunteer Anna Prosser Being Handed Award By Our Trustee Ruth Goddard

Monday 8 December 2025 was a day of celebration at Dogs for Good! The day was all about honouring the people (and pups!) who bring our Promise to life every single day through not one, but two awards celebrations.

We were delighted to celebrate our incredible volunteers, whose generosity and passion is where our impact truly begins, at the Marsh Trust Awards which took place in the morning. Several of our volunteers received Marsh Trust Charitable Awards for their exceptional contribution to our work – a reminder that our community is made up of the very best people.

In the afternoon, our brilliant colleagues were recognised for the professionalism, expertise and heart they pour into bringing people and dogs together to make life possible.

And of course, our dogs were celebrated too! Because what would a Dogs for Good celebration be without recognising our four-legged friends at the centre of everything we do? Our fun dog awards brought smiles, laughter and a perfect ending to a special day. It turns out our Promise lives just as strongly in their paws as it does in our people.

Lovely Lewis, who you will often find greeting visitors in our reception, won the Waggiest Tail Award. Here he is proudly showing off his award and enjoying his winner's treats!

We were also deeply proud to rename our North Star Award to The Bridget Jeffery North Star Award, in memory of Bridget; our extraordinary volunteer and occupational therapist whose warmth and wisdom continue to guide us.
