What are Animal Assisted Services?

Our Community Dog programme is based on Animal Assisted Services (AAS).

Animal Assisted Services are activities where specially trained animals work together with their qualified handlers, to provide help and support.

At Dogs for Good:
They are delivered as a handler-animal team, often alongside healthcare or education professionals, ensuring safety, professionalism and effectiveness.
Sessions can be tailored to meet therapeutic or educational goals or designed simply to bring comfort and joy.

The aim is to enhance people’s wellbeing, while also safeguarding the welfare and happiness of the animals taking part.

Submit an enquiry and a member of the team will be in touch to gain a better understanding of your organisation, the people you support and the outcomes you’re looking for.
