Lake District Ultra Challenge

Be part of the Lake District Ultra Challenge and raise vital funds for Dogs for Good across a route that blends tough terrain with incredible views. Your participation helps us reach more individuals, families and communities.

Two participants walking along a nature trail as part of the Lake District Ultra Challenge. They are wearing hiking gear and walking towards Lake Windermere, which can be seen in the background through tall trees.

Take in England's most spectacular mountain range with the Lake District Ultra Challenge on 5 - 6 June 2027.

With different distance options available, go at your own pace as you walk, jog or run – and fundraise for Dogs for Good!

Starting and finishing at Kendal, challengers will head out on a looped route with a few tough hills to Ambleside. After a pitstop at the halfway point by Lake Windermere, full 100km participants will set out towards Newby Bridge and Cartmel, before receiving a huge welcome back at basecamp.

Sign up as an individual or as a team and get full support all the way, with plenty of food and drink, optional camping/accommodation and transfers, a special medal and a t-shirt. All routes are fully marked, and there'll be massage and medical care available and marshals walking the route with you. Finish with a great sense of achievement and a celebration!
