HEALTH & WELFARE ASSISTANT
Full Time (35 Hours per Week)
Monday to Friday
Working a shift of 7.30am to 3.30pm or 10am to 6pm
Salary £20,026
Based at The Frances Hay Centre, Banbury
The Charity is seeking a full time Health & Welfare Assistant. Duties for this role include the following:
- To identify, manage and report health and welfare concerns within our stock
- Maintain all dog related areas on site
- Manage the daily requirements of all dogs attending site
- Communicate on dog Health and Welfare matters to assist staff members and stakeholders
- Keep up to date health and welfare records on the dogs progress

Accompanying dogs in the charity’s vehicles is part of the job, so a full driving licence is preferred, but where applicable, we will work with the chosen candidate to find alternative solutions where reasonable adjustments are required. Regular travel across the region you are supervising is a requirement of this role.
Dogs for Good have a generous contributory pension scheme, death in service benefit and an income protection plan, after a qualifying period. Employees are entitled to 25 days holiday per year (plus Bank Holidays), which increases with every five years’ service completed up to a maximum of 31 days holiday after 20 years’ service.
