Our Banbury & District Supporter Group are celebrating their 10 year Anniversary after raising more than £245,000. The group officially starting fundraising in January 2010 and are our largest group with about 30 members.

The group organises its own events to support our charity, from the Picnic in the Lake fundraiser (scheduled for Sunday 17 May this year), an annual craft fair here at our Banbury training centre as well as lots of collections at supermarkets, local fetes and events. Many of the group members also give talks locally to help raise awareness of our work.

We currently have 13 Supporter Groups in the UK and want to start more in 2020. The supporter groups put on a variety of fundraising activities, including craft fairs, dog shows, festival attendances, local supermarket collections and give talks to schools and community groups.

Our groups are absolutely vital because the members become our representatives in their local area. We are often approached to attend events in areas where we don’t have supporters, and so we have to turn potential support down.
