The Marsh Charitable Trust Volunteer National Excellence Awards

We are grateful to the Marsh Charitable Trust for supporting our awards for a second year.

Key information for the 2024 process

There will be 12 winners all receiving £250 cash. This generous amount provided by Marsh Charitable Trust (MCT) can be spent in any way the winner(s) decides.

The categories may have more than one winner within the various areas of the charity.

The 2024 categories* are as follows: –

  • Fundraiser / Supporter Group Volunteer of the Year
  • Puppy Volunteer of the Year (Breed Stock Holders, Puppy Socialisers and Puppy Boarders)
  • Speaker of the Year
  • Dog Volunteer of the Year (Temporary Boarders, Drivers, Activity, Family, Demo & Community Dog Holders)
  • Community Impact Volunteer of the Year
    * Please nominate under the category you feel is the most relevant.  If you are unsure, leave it blank. The selection panel will consider all nominations. 

 Notes and Tips

  • The nomination form should include how the person, or people have gone above and beyond expectations of the role.
  • The award must be for volunteering carried out between September 2023 and August 2024.
  • You cannot self-nominate.
  • Nominations are to be received by 31st August 2024. Please either complete the online form or download a nomination form as a Word doc from the link below and email your nomination(s) to [email protected] or post your nomination form to Dogs for Good, The Frances Hay Centre, Blacklocks Hill, Banbury OX17 2BS
  • A selection panel of staff, volunteers and the MCT will meet to select the winners.
  • Winners will be notified in October 2024.
  • We will hold a small informal event in December where winners will receive their award and be celebrated. All winners and a +1 will be invited to the Gala Dinner in April 2025.  
  • We hope that winners will have their photo taken in order for us to celebrate and share the news both internally and externally.
