Dogs for Good’s competition, which will be detailed at https://twitter.com/DogsForGoodUK, is operated by Dogs for Good of The Frances Hay Centre, Blacklocks Hill, Banbury, Oxfordshire OX17 2BS, United Kingdom, (“We” “Us” and “Our”). “You” and “Your” shall mean you, the person entering the Competition.

 

  1. General
    • If You enter the Competition You are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize detailed on Twitter (the “Prize”) to anyone in breach of any of these Terms and Conditions.
    • We reserve the right to cancel the Competition at any stage if We deem this necessary or circumstances arise that are outside Our control.

 

  1. Dog welfare
    • Dog Wellbeing is a key Value at Dogs for Good. We work hard to ensure the health and happiness of our dogs. We will never knowingly compromise their welfare.
    • We ask that no dogs are harmed, coerced or manipulated in any way as part of this Competition.

 

  1. Entries
    • Competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over with access to a Twitter or Facebook account.
    • Entry is free and no purchase is necessary, but as part of the fundraising promotion we would like you to raise a minimum of £20 in sponsorship to be eligible Just Giving
      • Any donations received by Dogs for Good will be unrestricted and used to support our work where it is needed most. Another key Value at Dogs for Good is that ‘Every pound counts’: We make the most of every pound and every hour of volunteering given to us, by spending wisely, working efficiently and remaining focused on our mission to help change the lives of people through assistance dogs and much more.
    • Entering the Competition:
      • To enter the Competition via Twitter, You must tweet your image using #dogtober and tag @DogsForGoodUK and @weatherbeetauk for your entry to be counted.
      • To enter the Competition via Facebook, You must enter by sharing your image within the comments of the #drawthepaw competition post, which will be pinned to the top of the page throughout the competition period.
      • You cannot enter the Competition via LinkedIn or Instagram, but by following the links from the posts on these sites, you should be able to enter the Competition via Twitter or Facebook.
    • The prize draw will run from the 1st October 2020 until the 1st November 2020 inclusive. All entries must be received by 11:59pm on Sunday 1st November 2020. Any entries received after this will not be considered. We:
      • cannot be held responsible for:
        • entries showing any form of mistreatment of any animals or people; or
        • any late entries due to the Internet, even where proof of posting can be provided.
      • will not accept entries that are:
        • automatically generated by computer; or
        • completed by third parties or in bulk.
    • One winner will be chosen by Dogs for Good.
    • The results of the Competition will be announced via Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram within one week following the closing date. The winner will notified by being Tagged on Twitter or Facebook (depending on where they posted their video). It will not be possible to notify those entrants that do not win. The winner will be awarded the Prize. Our decision regarding any aspect of the Competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
    • The winner accepts and agrees that:
      • the Prize must be taken as stated, it is non-transferable, and cannot be deferred, exchanged or redeemed for its value;
      • no alternate to the Prize will be available.

 

  1. Prize
    • The Prize awarded to the winner will be a Weatherbeeta dog bed, collar, lead and jacket with a minimum RRP value of £116.96.
    • The Prize winner shall notify Dogs for Good of their address for delivery of the prize and of size requirements.
    • Weatherbeeta Ltd will deliver the prize
    • The Prize will be delivered within one month of the competition close date.
    • Prizes are subject to availability. We reserve the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
    • We reserve the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary to do so.

 

  1. Rights and permissions
    • If We are unable to contact the winner to confirm delivery of the prize within one week of the competition closing, we will chose a second place winner to receive the prize.
    • In the event that You are the winner, You accept and agree to the following in relation to the Competition:
      • participate in any publicity planned by Us, if required; and
      • We may announce that you are a Winner via Dogs for Good Twitter or Facebook account, stating your Twitter/Facebook name by Tagging you.

 

  1. Personal Data
    • We will only use your contact details (Facebook name and profile link) for the purposes of administering this Competition, and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without Your permission.
    • You consent to Us holding and processing data relating to You for legal, administrative and management purposes.
    • Any personal data relating to You will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to another party without Your prior consent. Please see Our Privacy Statement for further details.
    • Data relating to You will be retained by Us for a reasonable period after the closing date specified in clause 3.4 to assist in the administration of the Competition in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries on the Competition.

 

  1. Applicable Law
    • These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
