The role will cover Bristol and the South West, South Wales and surrounding counties. This role is predominantly office-based (often lone working) and, ideally, applicants should live within the immediate area and be prepared to travel as the role dictates.

The role focuses primarily on developing new fundraising opportunities within the region as well as managing existing relationships. You will work as part of the regional fundraising team, ensuring effective planning and delivery of the fundraising strategy within your region as well as promoting national initiatives.

The role will involve working with regional clients (with their assistance dogs), volunteers, supporter groups, community groups, small corporates and a wide range of individual fundraisers. This will involve liaising with local media and contributing to the overall charity communications strategy.

Experience of generating income from a wide range of sources and managing volunteers is essential. You will be confident and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills and a proven background of managing your own workload to meet targets and deadlines. You will need excellent grammar, an eye for detail and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as experience working with databases.
