Salary up to £34,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Based at The Frances Hay Centre, Banbury

Dogs for Good is seeking an energetic and inspired Dog Supply Manager to lead and develop the charity’s breeding scheme, dog supply, puppy development and re-homing programmes and to achieve excellence for the charity in these areas. This role is a permanent, full time position located at the Frances Hay Centre in Banbury.  The Dog Supply Manager not only co-ordinates the charity’s dog supply, breeding scheme, puppy development and rehoming operations, but also works closely with the charity’s Head of Production to develop our approach towards puppy development and volunteer management to ensure that Dogs for Good continues to raise life changing dogs across all of our service areas.

The Dog Supply Manager will ensure that suitable puppies are bred and successfully progressed through socialisation in line with the targets and quality requirements set by the charity. This will be achieved by developing best practice approaches to breeding, dog supply and puppy development and by managing the day to day operations of the Dog Supply, Puppy and Rehoming teams.  They will understand and communicate effectively with a range of charity volunteers and will facilitate effective communication within their team and with other teams across the charity.

The successful applicant will have the ability to think strategically and to plan and implement best practice approaches to breeding, dog supply and puppy development. They will require current and relevant knowledge of: dog supply matters including the analysis of breed traits; appropriate puppy training methods and requirements; and the process of ensuring that high quality puppies are bred and socialised for the charity.  They will have the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a wide range of people both inside and outside the charity.  They will provide practical support on dogs supply and puppy development matters to volunteers and staff within the organisation ensuring that the methods and standards required by the charity are upheld at all times.  They will also enable the charity’s work to develop by positively embracing and facilitating change.
