The amazing team here at Dogs for Good makes our life-changing work possible. We’ll be introducing you to some of them over the coming weeks, starting with Robbie from our Family Dog team.

Name:
Robbie

What’s your role at Dogs for Good?
Family Dog Instructor

What does that involve?
I run the Family Dog Workshops which give advice and support to help families with autistic children get the most out of their relationship with their pet dog, and provide aftercare for those who have attended.

What’s the best thing about your job?
The best thing has to be meeting the people we are working with and hearing the impact their pet dogs are having on their families and autistic children.

What did you do before this role?
Previously I ran dog training classes and also worked at Wood Green animal shelter.

Do you have your own dog?
Yes, I have a 9 year old border collie cross springer spaniel called Blue. He is a very energetic dog despite his age and loves to learn new tricks.

What’s your favourite dog walk?
I love to walk through the fields. Blue loves to jump through the long grass and search for rabbits to chase.

Do you have any hobbies?
When I am not at work at Dogs for Good, I do pet portrait commissions.

What’s your proudest achievement?
Seeing the families achieve the small everyday things that make a big difference, that just weren’t possible before attending the Family Dog workshops.
